Life & Rolo Turtles

Some say I wore too much purple this day. I say to them: NEVER! Some also referred to this look as "fugly" (ahem, Tom & Fancy Chicken). To them I say…Well I wouldn't be polite to write on here.

Nuggs helped me make treats for Daddy's work. By "help" I mean she ate Rolos and pretzels while occasionally laying out the pretzels like I had suggested she do. Either way it was fun. She loves to be involved.

I don't do cut out cookies. I'm AWFUL at them. I can't even begin to explain how terrible they looked the last time my sister and I tried to bake some. So I stick to the same "turtle treat" each year.

You Need:
-Square Pretzles
-Halved Pecans

Preheat over to 375.
Lay out pretzels on cookie sheet(s). Top with a rolo.
Pop in oven for 3 min or so. Watch closely!!!! Get them out as soon as the chocolate looks "shiny" which means its softened. Then press a pecan down on top.
Refridgerate for a few hours to re-harden that chocolate, otherwise it will stay way too soft.

Finally, eat like 102 million of them and enjoy.

She was obsessed with the idea of having her cookie decorating playdate all week. She was my little helper prepping the favors.

And as always, our week was full of lots of awkwardness like this. I have no words. I'm sorry. Only in a (almost) three year old's mind did placing this naked Ken doll in the high chair make sense.

Successful playdate. Kids were asleep by 6:30pm that night on the couch. They didn't wake until 7:30 the next morning. We of course did take them to their beds after we realized they weren't waking up.

Just melting my heart one smile and snuggle at a time.
This boy. I'm telling ya...

Then I decided to freaking reorganized the office/studio for like 120359701943275894376893p4865ioerutq893y8ergjihg930t7489 -th time. OH MY GAWWWD. I keep promising Tom I will stop. But, I just can't. I keep having brilliant ideas of ways to make it more functional.

So that was last week in a nutshell. Tomorrow I'll be back with some cutie details from our playdate!!!
