Project Patio | Inspiration Board

After two years in this house we are really hoping to make our patio a priority this spring. We have a rather large uncovered patio. Long term plans would be a pergola over part or all of the patio or an actual built on covered porch area with fans. But, for this year our budget is a bit smaller then our dreams so we have decided to get some new furniture. Below is the set we plan to get.  For the last few months we had planned to stain our exposed aggregate patio concrete to help disguise a few rust stains from previous owners. Staining the patio isn't off the table for the future but I think we are actually going to put that off for this season and purchase two large outdoor rugs to help disguise around the table area and then another for our little sitting area on other side of patio. I'm excited about these not only for their hiding the stains but even more because it will provide some "softness." Especially with our lil dude being a crawler and will just be learning to walk this summer. It makes me a little nervous with how bumpy and hard the patio is. I mean honestly, I think the exposed aggregate is a pretty look but I don't enjoy walking barefoot on it at all. So these rugs are partially for me too!
Below is the direction we are planning to go --

I'm really drawn to the rusty orange and greens for our patio decor. I already have a side table like the one above that is black. So I plan to paint it green. I'm thinking we will end up going the orange route with the rugs and green outdoor pillows. (how ironic that I want to put down rusty orange rugs to cover rust stains. LOLOL)  I'm OBSESSED with terra-cotta planters and have never bought any because my colors were always purple, black, and red before. But I'm bound and determined to switch those up this year.
Lastly, not shown are our plans to add 2 or 3 "trees" to each side of patio for a little coziness. You know those tree type shrubs that potted and like 4 feet tall? I want to put like 3 of those in a row at each end of the patio.
Anyways…hopefully I'll be back in the next month or so with before and after photos for you all! eek!! I seriously geek out over this sort of stuff!
Has spring sprung wherever you live? Do you have outdoor plans??
