Sip Happens Party Link Up

Sooooo we drank some wine……

I hosted our Sip Happens Party at my house this last weekend and it was a slumber party/pajama party theme!! It was so casual and fun.  We played movies like Mean Girls and Sex & The City in the background while we chatted and drank our vino. We had like a gazillion different wines this time! Almost all animal themed….I happened to only try two of the wines. There were many white wines and I don't tolerate white wine very well so I usually stick to reds. But I did try a fun moscato, Pink Zebra, and it was so tropical and different. It had major hints of coconut and pineapple! It was by far my favorite packaging. I have a major love affair for animal prints so the pink zebra print was already a solid win in my book…but then I peeled back that foil and was ready to uncork and what do you know... it had a pink cork! Seriously…thats the best detail ever. Like I said, it was delicious. I only took a very small taste of it due to my very odd intolerance to most white wines. The red I sipped on the most was the Rex Goliath. I mean duh…it has a rooster on it…sooooo naturally, I'm smitten by that packaging as well. We had the red moscato blend in this brand but the particular one I was drinking was the Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is rarely not good to me so it too was a winner with my taste buds :-) I happened to purchase that bottle and I can say it has a very affordable price tag too! I think it was around 5 or 6 dollars! Overall…I can't choose by taste because they were both delicious...but the Pink Zebra packaging was my favorite of the night. Without a doubt.

I had such a good time putting together all the details of this party. I chose a pink and leopard theme. It seemed so girly and slumber party-esque and then sort of tied in with our animal themed wines. We enjoyed some yummy pizzas, cupcakes (because like 4 of these girls had birthdays in the last month), and a little popcorn bar!

I put together some swag bags that included samples products from some of my favorite brands!

I do want to take a moment to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to
Pearls And Prints for the ever so appropriate "I am kind of a big deal on my blog" print that was provided to go our swag bags…
Erin with Jamberry for the super fun samples…
& Marie with Saba for the energy drink sample

And then Aleks (who is the sweetest person to ever live) brought some fun favor bags too to treat everyone with! I mean what sorta of slumber party would it have been with out gifts!?!?! Seriously though, thanks Aleks for the fun treats!!!!

The giggles were non-stop…there were stories… we might have even got so loud that we woke up my son…a couple times--OOPS!…..and there may or may not have been an original musical performance by Kelly…. It was yet another wildly successful evening! :-)

Sip Happened.

I hope you all have had some vino fun of your own! Be sure to link up your adventures with wine!! And if you missed this round you can join our fun again on Monday June 16th when our next link up will take place! Welcome-the-2nd-Sip-Happens-Party-Linkup

Meet your hosts:

Our favorite party will be featured on the next Sip Happens Party link up post, which will be June 16th! Instead of a featured wine for the next link up, we are choosing a theme: LOCAL WINERIES. Visit a local winery or purchase wines from one and tell us all about it! SAVE-THE-DATE-SHP-3 link-up-rules 1. Follow your hosts because you want to not because it's required. 2. Link up your actual post, not your blog’s main page. Only Sip Happens Party related posts, please (or they will be deleted). 3. Grab the button below or link back to one or all of our blogs. 4. Hop around and leave some comment love, because that's what link ups are for, am I right? 5. Spread the word via social media and use the hashtag #siphappensparty!

  5. Shut the front door...a pink cork?!? I don't believe you. I guess I'm just going to have to go buy a bottle and test it out. You know, just to make sure you aren't just lying to make friends. ;)
