September || Autumn, Life, & Goals

Annnnnd exhale…..
Autumn is here. (at least in my mind) September officially marks my favorite season of the year. I'm celebrating today by setting out some pumpkin decor and by wearing my first non-summer scarf and long leggings and a tunic. Who cares if its going to be 81 today ;-)

This lovely month I would love to accomplish these three (daunting) tasks:

1. Actually write out ALL of my favorite tried and true Pinterest recipes and put in my recipe box. I'm so bloody sick of having to go look the recipes up each time. This MUST happen. Like, I wish it was done yesterday. lol

2. Continue to organize the photo explosion that is iPhoto on this computer. And, then backup the hard drive again, once its all where its supposed to be.

3. Make/Find new art for two of my bathrooms.

Looking back at August:

We began the month by hitting the beach at Lake Michigan.
Just general cuteness!
He is such a climber. I don't even know what to do with him ;-)
Library book reading
Fall scarf production and prep for October craft show!
I made nearly 100 headbands. These are for a fundraiser that my sister is doing for her local children's hospital for CHD (congenital heart defect) awareness.  Her son (my godson) has a CHD. We are selling them as a set of 3 for $6 in Adult or Youth sizes. If you are interested in helping support a great children's hospital please email me to purchase a set. 100% proceeds will be donated.

On one of the stupid hot Saturdays this month that was unbearable to even be outside we took the kids to Monkey Joe's for a little energy burn off :-)
Lil lady's very first day of school ever!!
I bought two Christmas ornaments. Ridiculous, I know. But I just "needed" them.
"the boys of 2013" All born within 4 months. A little snapshot from our labor day weekend back home with the ENTIRE family.

Hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend and are as excited for Autumn as I am!

  1. It is not ridiculous to buy Christmas ornaments early!!! They are cheaper, duh! I find myself going to Hobby Lobby just to walk through the Christmas trees. I am so ready for the holidays!

    1. Glad somebody is supporting my "crazy"…hahahahah

  2. Since I am not a Christmas junkie the thought of that while I am in serious mess with tomatoes, getting ready for outdoor labor day soup cooking makes me a little ill. Why don't you come home and decorate for me. Oh yeah amd while doing it be sure it is baby proof for when those fiesty 2013 boys come. Do they have elastic stretchy arms for reaching as well as their climbing skills? I am OVER summer, bring on sweatshirts and warm fuzzy socks.

  3. I love love love the idea of writing down ur fav recipes from pinterest,,i may do this also!!!!
